14年前の思い出 Memories 14 years ago

先週、ロサンゼルス在住の友人夫妻が桜の京都に来ている、とのメール連絡をもらいました。

数日の滞在予定で、面会はかないませんでしたが、初めて会ったのは14年前に彼が音響設備関係の展示会へ出展の仕事で幕張に来ていた時でした。（写真、向かって右端）

アマチュア無線が私たちの共通の趣味でしたが、現在では両方とも太陽光発電に傾注しています。彼は数年前まで自家用小型機を長く所有し、全米を飛行機で楽しんでいました。

ロサンゼルスでの再会を誘われていますが、DT大統領のUSAには行く気がしません。

Last week, I received an e-mail from a friend and his wife who live in Los Angeles and were staying in Kyoto in the cherry blossom season.

They were scheduled to stay for a few days, but we were unable to see each other. The first time I met him was 14 years ago when he came to Makuhari to exhibit their sound equipment. (Photo, on my left)

Amateur radio operation was our common hobby, but now both of us are inclined to solar power generation. They had long owned a small private plane until a few years ago and enjoyed flying all over the United States.

He has invited me to see him again in Los Angeles, but I don't feel like going to the US with the current President DT.
