Skypeが5月にサービス終了へ Skype to end service in May

チャットや連絡先はTeamsに移行可能。

インターネットを使ったテレビ電話の草分けのスカイプがそのサービスを終了します。

20年以上も使っていますが、私はこのサービスのことはNTTの友人から聞きました。

当時、NTTでは脅威に感じて、スカイプの使用を従業員に禁じていたとのことです。

同様のサービスは多くありますので、困ることはありませんが、慣れたソフト、サービスが無くなるのは寂しいです。

Skype, the pioneer of internet-based video telephony, is ending its service.

I heard about the service from a friend working for NTT, and I have been using it for over 20 years.

At the time, NTT felt threatened and banned their employees the use of Skype.

There are many similar services available, so I am not troubled by this, but I will miss the loss of software and services I am used to.
