暑い日々が長く続いた今年の夏、我が家では通常の十分の一のサイズの小さな小型・高効率太陽光発電・蓄電システムで毎日、11時頃から夕方まで涼しい部屋で過ごし、熱中症を予防できました。
このシステムは発電パネルと蓄電池は既製品使って、私がそれを高効率化する試験とデータ収集のために身の回りの材料で、日曜大工で自作しました。(但し、パネルの方向変更のための電動モーターは\7,000で購入しましたが。)
我が家では節電以外に、これが地球気候変動対策の具体的な行動の一つです。
夏場の天気の良い日、一台のエアコン電気消費量を一日4kW(500W、8時間運転)とした場合、現在の小さな発電・蓄電システムから全使用量の80パーセントの3.2kWを供給できます。
(その内訳はパネル発電で2.4kW(300W、8時間発電)、蓄電池から800W (100W、8時間供給)
Preventing Global Climate Change with Compact, High-Efficiency Photovoltaic Power Generation and Storage Systems (2)
During the long hot days of this summer, we were able to stay in a cool room from around 11:00 a.m. until evening every day with a small, high-efficiency solar power generation and storage system that is one-tenth the size of a normal system, thanks to which we did not have a heatstroke.
This system uses off-the-shelf power generation panels and storage batteries, and I built it myself with materials I had around me for making its generation much more efficient and collecting data. (But, the electric motor to change the direction of the panel was purchased for 7,000 Yen ($50).)
In our house, besides saving electricity, this is one of the concrete actions we are taking against global climate change.
On a nice summer day, when the electricity consumption of one air conditioner is 4 kW per day (500 W, 8 hours operation), the current small power generation and storage system can supply 3.2 kW, 80 percent of the total usage.
(2.4 kW from the panel generation (300 W, 8 hours) and 800 W from a storage battery (100 W, 8 hours supply).
