シカゴトリビューン紙、他が報じた広島 Hiroshima as reported by the Chicago Tribune and others

先週、アメリカからの二人の友人、麻酔医者・内科医と医学大学の教授、を平和記念館に案内した時に思い出したのが、添付した記事です。

これは1982年8月6日にアメリカで発行されたシカゴトリビューン紙の「視点」記事、「忘れられてはいない広島」の中で紹介された広島原爆記念館の高橋元館長のインタビュー記事です。

この時、新聞記者と広島原爆記念館の高橋元館長のお二人への通訳は私、釜本が行いました。

なお、先日帰国した彼等からは原爆投下直後の様子を記した添付の雑誌記事が、今日、送られてきました。

Hiroshima as reported by the Chicago Tribune and others:

I was reminded of the attached article last week when I took a friend from the US, an anesthesiologist/physician and professor at a medical university, to the Peace Memorial Museum.

This is the newspaper interview article between Mr. Takahashi, then director of Hiroshima Peace Museum, and the newspaper reporter, which was in the Perspective published by Chicago Tribune in USA on August 6th, 1982. I worked as an interpreter for the two at that time.

They recently returned to the U.S. and today I received the attached magazine article describing the immediate aftermath of the atomic bombing.
