War scenes in NHK morning dramas

This year's morning drama also features sad scenes from World War II.

War scenes are repeated every time to remind us of Japan's responsibility and remorse for losing the war at the expense of millions of Japanese people and millions of people from other countries as well. Furthermore, the remains of more than one million Japanese soldiers remain abandoned. It is very important not to forget these facts.

Having an uncle who was killed in the war at the young age of 27 and an uncle who was exposed to the atomic bomb, I cannot watch these scenes without imagining the sorrow and regret of their parents (my grandparents) and the regret of my uncle who left his wife and child behind and the sadness of the family left behind.
