日本の勤労感謝の日、アメリカの感謝祭　　Labor Thanksgiving Day in Japan and Thanksgiving Day in the United States

いずれも祝日で、休日で、日本は11月23日、アメリカでは11月の第4木曜日です。

今年2023年は偶然ですが同じ日、同じ曜日です。

日本の勤労感謝の日は、現在は私たちの生活を支える勤労・生産を互いに感謝し会う日のようですが、その昔秋の収穫を祝う新嘗祭（にいなめさい）が起源とされています。その点では巡礼者が五穀豊穣・収穫を祝うことが起源となっているアメリカのサンクスギビングと似ています。

日本の勤労感謝の日はお祭り気分、イベント気分はありませんが、」アメリカの感謝祭はサンクスギビングディナーという大きな食卓をみんなで囲みます。また多くの都市や街ではパレードが行われます。
