AI登場で語学は必要？不要？　　Is language learning necessary or unnecessary with the advent of AI?

答えは Yes、Noの両方です。

少なくとも、高度な翻訳・通訳をビジネスで通用するレベルでこなしたいのであれば、それなりの語学力を身につける必要があり、語学の勉強は欠かせません。

なぜなら、AI翻訳の正誤を最終的に判定する能力が人間には必要であり、それが即、ビジネスに必要な語学力だからです。

一方、日常の一般的な意思疎通レベルの語学力でよい、という意味であれば語学学習は必要ないかもしれません。

その場合、AI 翻訳に全面的に任せて、その結果責任はすべてAI翻訳機を使用する人が負うことになります。

ただ、語学学習を通して得られるのは実用的な語学力だけでなく、他の学科教科と同じように学習する段階で、間接的ですが、生活力、思考力、対応力を身に着け、困難を克服する力を身に着ける、という意味と意義があります。

このことを考えると単に嫌いだから、必要がないから、苦手だから、と語学を全く否定することには疑問があります。
