シジュウカラの子育て(1)　Titmice raising their young (1)

我が家の庭で今年初めて子育て中のシジュウカラのペアの巣作りから産卵までの記録です。

ほとんど毎日、机に向かっている時に3メートルほど先の巣箱に飛来するシジュウカラを窓越しに楽しく観察しています。

他の方の記録では巣作りには数週間ほど、産卵には1週間ほど、産卵を終えると抱卵に入るとのことですが、4月16日現在、その段階のようです。

今後の誕生と成長が待ち遠しいです。

This is a record of a pair of titmice now raising their brood, from nest building to egg laying, this year for the first time in our yard.

Almost every day when I am at my desk, I can enjoy watching through the window the tits flying to the nest box about three meters away.

According to other records, it takes about several weeks to build the nest, about a week to lay eggs, and after the eggs are laid, they enter the incubation stage, and it seems that they are at that stage now on April 16th.

We can't wait to see the births of baby tits, their growth and leaving the nest maybe in May.
