4月後半の尾道無料英会話道場(OESS)例会　　Meetings of Onomichi Free English Learning Society (OESS) in the latter half of April

以下の日時、トピックで行われました。

1. OESS夕方コース、4月16日（土、19:00～）：プラスチックカップはもういらない-スターバックス・ジャパンが新たな取り組みで店舗のプラスチックを撤廃

2. OESS午前コース、4月28日（木、10:30～）：地域の環境と野生動物をサポートするために自生植物を植えよう

前者では残された少ない時間内で、事前に読んでいた記事内容についてプラスチックの使用減量は海洋汚染の減少に寄与でき、処分量が減少すれば地球温暖化防止にも寄与するとの考えが示されました。

後者ではオーストラリアからのメンバーの帰国時の出来事、PCRテスト、メンバーのこれから夏にかけての旅行計画から飛行機のエコノミークラスとビジネスクラスの経験談などで時間が費やされ、4月22日の「地球の日」にちなんで用意した資料に関するトークは次回に持ち越されました。

They were held on following dates with the topics prepared.

1. OESS Evening, April 16th （Sat. 19:00～）: No more plastic cups — Starbucks Japan to get rid of plastic in stores with new initiatives

2. OESS Morning, April 28th （Thurs. 10:30～）: Plant Native Plants to Support Local Environment, Wildlife

In the former session, though the time was limited, the participants discussed the articles that they had read in advance, and showed the ideas that reducing the use of plastics would contribute to the reduction of marine pollution and the decrease in the amount of disposed plastic would also contribute to the prevention of global warming.

In the latter session, the time was spent on the happenings upon the members' return to Australia, PCR tests, the members' travel plans for the coming summer, and their experiences in economy class and business class on airplanes.

The talk on the materials prepared for "Earth Day" on April 22 was carried over to the next meeting.
