マッチポンプとガラガラポン　Match pump and wiping the slate

ご存知の通り、マッチポンプとは自らマッチで火をつけておいて、それを自らポンプで水を掛けて消す、という意味で偽善的な自作自演の手法・行為を意味する和製外来語です。
ガラガラポンとは現在ある システムを壊して仕切り直す、という意味です。
世界のどこにも昔からマッチポンプとガラガラポンはありますが、現在、この二つがピッタリ結びつくのは中国です。
‘A match and a pump’ in Japanese means setting fire to something and extinguishing it using a fire pump to get rewarded.
It is a self-acting to gain the credit for solving problems or stirring up trouble to get credit from the solution.
Wiping slate means starting anew or taking something apart and rebuilding it from scratch.
These two behaviors can be seen anywhere all over the world since early times, but they can be fittingly associated with China now.
