全国戦没者追悼式のテレビ中継を見ました。
今年も首相の挨拶に心に響く内容はありませんでした。
27歳だった伯父を先の戦争で殺された私には日本人を戦争に駆り立て、死亡させた当時の日本人指導者、戦犯たちに対する私の気持ちや考えは変わりませんし、その戦犯たちの子孫たちの立ち振る舞いにはいつも大きな違和感を覚えています。
政府は8月15日を終戦の日としていますが、敗戦という言葉がより適切です。戦没者という言葉よりも戦争被殺害者がより適切です。
意図的なソフトな言葉使いは実態を隠します。
I watched this year’s Memorial Ceremony for the War Dead on TV today.
I could not feel any that got to my heart in Premier’s words this year, either.
My feelings or thinking toward the Japanese war criminals and then leaders, who drove Japanese people including my uncle killed in the war at his age of 27, never changes forever.
And I feel uncomfortable with the conducts by the offspring of the war criminals.
Government has defined August 15th as a day World War Second ended, but the wording should be a day of defeat in World War Second. The war dead should be the killed in the war.
Those intentionally soft wording hides the realty of the war and its history.
