日よけ　Shading

夏の暑さを少しでも和らげるために、南西向きの部屋の外には西日を遮るために日よけネットやすだれを掛けます。
夏スタート時の定番の仕事の一つですが、省エネには少しは貢献できるでしょう。

40年ドイツ・ケルン在住の友人からの便りでは、7月25日は37度だったとのこと。
通常は20度台で、窓を開けても蚊も入らず快適なようですが。
We make it a rule to install the awning nets and/ the bamboo blinds or outside of the rooms facing the west and/or the south to keep out the late afternoon sun.
It is one of the routine works in summer and contributes to saving energy, I hope.

According to a friend of mine living in Koln, Germany, they had 37 degrees centigrade on July 25.
Usually they have comfortable summer with 20s temperature-wise and no mosquito.
