通訳ゲーム：
通訳形態には逐次通訳と同時通訳があります。
逐次通訳とは話者と通訳が交互に話を進める方法で一般的ですが、同時通訳は文字通り話者と通訳がほぼ同時に話を進行する形です。
私はこれまで逐次通訳で仕事をしてきましたが、テレビなどで外国の人が日本語で受け答えしている場面に遭遇すると、私はその日本語を英語に同時通訳する訓練、遊びをよくやります。
決して長時間、そして上手にはできませんが、外国語の習得や練習の一つの方法にはなります。
ちなみに、同時通訳は一回あたり15分くらいが限度だと言われています。
Simultaneous interpreting:
Interpretation has two types, a consecutive one and a simultaneous one.
In consecutive interpretation, commonly seen, the speaker and the interpreter speak in alternate shift and in the latter case the both speak almost at the same time.
Until now I have worked as a consecutive interpreter, but I often try to translate the foreigners’ Japanese into English simultaneously when I see them answering in Japanese on TV. It is just a self-training or a play for me.
I can’t do it well or for a long time, but I am sure it can be one of the learning or practicing ways of foreign languages.
Just for your information, it is said simultaneous translation each time can’t be continued more than 15 minutes.
