中古船、現役続行　Used vessels to be in service more

写真はタイに向けて出航する1000トンほどのLPG船です。
出航前の書類翻訳作業と現場通訳作業を秋空晴天の元、昨日完了しました。
日本で20年ほど使われ、タイに渡りさらに30年ほど使用されるとのことです。
中古船の需要は増加しており、この種の日本製鉄鋼船は今後も十分長く利用できるようです。
今回のバイヤーは12月にも来日する予定との事ですから、この種の仕事が増えることを願っています。
昼食には船内でコックさんが作った大変スパイシーなタイ料理に挑戦してみました。いわゆる家庭料理でおいしかったです。
The LPG ship (about 1,000 tons in size) is ready to leave for Bangkok, Thailand after I finished the translation work of the ship documents yesterday under the beautiful autumn weather.
The ship is about 20 years old and going to be used another 30 years in Thailand.
The demand for the used ships has been increasing and these kind of Japan-made iron ships can be used again for a long time, I heard.
The buyer comes back to Japan in December and I hope this kind of business will be increased.
I challenged the very spicy Thai food for lunch prepared by the ship cook and it was a good home-cooked one.
