戦争捕虜の扱い　How to treat POWs

四国の鳴門市の坂東地区にあった第一次世界大戦のドイツ人捕虜の生活の様子や日本人の彼らに対する態度、扱いの記録を再度知りました。
彼らは人道的な扱いを受けて、オーケストラ音楽活動も可能だったようです。
ロシアでの第二次世界大戦後の日本人捕虜がシベリアでロシア人から受けた扱いと対比すると真逆で雲泥の差です。

I again could get to know how the about 5,000 German POW had lived in Bando, Naruto-city in Japan after World War First. 
They were treated in a fair and humane way and even enjoyed their orchestra music activities.
This was totally different the so many Japanese POWs caught by Soviet Union and lived a miserable life I Siberia after World War Second.
