語学遊学  Overseas language study for pleasure

語学留学という言葉はよく耳にします。
留学という言葉の響きから格好良く聞こえますが、多くの場合、お金と時間を使った遊び、語学遊学だと私は思っています。
本当に言葉を会得したいなら、海外の大学に正規に入り、卒業までに勉学と語学の両方で苦労に耐えなければなりません。
語学遊学で現地、海外に行ってわずかな期間、数ヶ月から一年程度で外国語はマスターできないでしょう。
ニュースになるようなリスクも存在します。
We often hear of overseas language study that means to study foreign languages abroad. 
It sounds good because of the words of studying abroad, but in many cases it is not a serious study but a stay for pleasure using money and time.
If they really want to master foreign languages, they should be duly permitted to enter the universities and endure many years of hardship in learning both subjects and languages.
It can’t be possible to master foreign languages in a short time of a few months through a year or so under the overseas pleasure staying program. 
There should be also a risk to be in the news.
