リノベーション  Renovation

現在、事務所のある建物の一室を短期ホームステイ用にリノベーションしています。費用と内容とのせめぎ合いが続きます。
ご存知の通り、リノベーションは改装、改築という意味ですが、日本でよく使用するリフォームという和製英語はまだ認知されていないようです。英語でリフォーム、reformと言っても改装、改築の意味は伝わりません。
We have now one of the rooms of our building under renovation to make it a short home stay room for foreign tourists, where the cost and renovation items engage in a clash.
In Japan, we usually use the word of “reform” instead of renovation as a Japanized English. But it has not been recognized yet as a modified English word.
