若葉は薫り高い、清涼感のある芳香で、食材として木の芽とも呼ばれ、日本料理に使用される山椒が庭に姿を現しました。神経質で枯れてしまうことが多く、移植が難しいと言われる植物だけにこの新しい仲間には嬉しいです。

A small Japanese pepper tree has come out in the garden. The young leaves have fresh aromatic odor, being used as spice for Japanese dish, but it is said easy to die down and difficult to transplant. We are happy with this newcomer.
