高校の国際英語コースと英語レベル　English language level for high school freshmen in International English studying course

国内外で評価されている医学、理工系大学で学ぶ準備をするには高校入学受験者（15歳）は英検準2級が必須で英検2級が望ましい・・・・と、先日訪問したある中高一貫教育学校の高校入学案内パンフレット（国際英語コース）に記載してあります。そして、この学校では入学者には高校で100％英語による授業も実際に行われています。
しかし、英検2次面接試験を25年間行ってきた私の個人的経験からすると上述のレベルは一般的には高校卒業生でさえも困難です。それが現在の日本の外国語教育の実情です。
The entrance guide of a unified lower and upper secondary school I visited the other day says the students to tale the senior high school examinations (at the age of 15) need to have already passed the pre-level 2 English Language Proficiency test, preferably the level 2 if they would like to study in good medical and/or university for science in and/or out of Japan. And the enrolled high school students actually take lessons only in English at this school. 
But, judging from my personal experience as a Language Proficiency test examiner for 25 years, that is rarely the case with even with senior high school gradates in general. It is the real situation of foreign language education in Japan.
