新聞報道によれば、政府が次々とTOEFL（トーフル、トイフル）など民間の英語試験を採り入れる方針を固めています。先月4月には大学入試の受験資格として、今月5月に
はキャリア官僚の採用試験でその取得点数を受験者に提出させる、とのことです。
小学校から大学まで英語教育にたずさわる教員にはプレッシャーでしょうが、英語教育のプロであれば要求される資格試験をクリアするのは当然でしょう。
しかし、いつものことですが、国会議員や政府は国民に対してはこのような試験制度を導入しても自らには課しません。

そこで、提案ですが、これからはあらゆる議員立候補者は肩書きに英語試験資格や取得点数の記載を義務付けたらいかがでしょうか。

As is usual, the Diet members and Government only force the general people to clear the test, but they do not impose the same on themselves .

So I suggest that all candidates for Diet members and local assembly members should declare their own English qualifications or
scores in their titles.
