昨日起こった江田島市の殺傷事件で、私には20数年前に関わった外国人研修生の受け入れのための一連の作業と苦い思い出がよみがえりました。偏見に満ちた入国管理事務所の担当者、研修生を単なる労働力としかみなさない無知な受け入れ先。その結果、研修生の一人が精神的障害を引き起こしました。彼にはくつろいだ生活のために本国に帰ってもらうことで事なきを得たが、今でも思い出すとぞっとします。http://matome.naver.jp/odai/2136330264997676501　
The stabbing incident occurred in Etajima city yesterday reminds me of my work with a bitter memory about 20 years ago, when I worked on accepting foreign trainees for a certain company. I confronted the discriminative immigration staffs and the ignorant company that reckoned the trainees just as a mere labor force. Then, one of the trainees got mental disabilities. Fortunately nothing serious happened because we let him go back home for his peaceful life. I shudder at the memory.
